    • Created to honor the ancestry and heritage of the artist

      • Day of the Dead skeleton representational of maternal Mexican roots and to tie the piece to that lineage.

      • Blue paint is patterns from traditional pottery from Sonora, Mexico

      • Red are Hopi symbols used to illustrate favorite memories and prayers for those in the family

      • Orange is the artist self expression

    • Green painted areas glow

  • Subject:

    • To honor and connect with the story of Francisco (Lopez) Rodriguez, born in 1872 in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico and his wife Antonia Rodriguez Ramirez born in city in 1870.
